Whole Wheat Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 2/3 c whole wheat flour (about 3 oz)
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar
  • 1 2/3 c 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 1 c all-purpose flour (about 4 1/2 oz)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Directions
  • Step #1 Lightly spoon flours into dry measuring c; level with a knife.
  • Step #2 Combine flours, sugar, baking powder, & salt In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #3 Combine milk, & egg; add milk mixture to flour mixture, butter, stirring until smooth.
  • Step #4 Pour about 1/4 c batter per pancake onto a hot nonstick griddle or nonstick skillet.
  • Step #5 Cook 2 mins or until tops are covered with bubbles & edges look cooked.
  • Step #6 Carefully turn pancakes over; cook 2 mins or until bottoms are lightly browned.
