Pecan Crescent Twists Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 (8-oz) cans put in the fridged crescent rolls
  • 2 tbsps maple syrup or milk
  • 1/2 c powdered sugar
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 6 tbsps butter or margarine, melted & divided
  • 1/2 c sliced pecans
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions
  • Step #1 Unroll crescent rolls, & separate each can into 4 rectangles, pressing perforations to seal.
  • Step #2 Brush evenly with 4 tbsps melted butter.
  • Step #3 Stir together pecans & next 3 ingredients; sprinkle 1 tbsp mixture on each rectangle, pressing in carefully.
  • Step #4 Roll up, starting at a long side, & twist.
  • Step #5 Cut 6 shallow (1/2-inch-long) diagonal slits in each roll.
  • Step #6 Shape rolls into rings, pressing ends together; place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #7 Brush rings with remaining 2 tbsps butter.
  • Step #8 Bake at 375° for 12 mins or until golden.
  • Step #9 Stir together powdered sugar & maple syrup until glaze is smooth; drizzle over warm twists.
