Deluxe Omelet Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tbsps butter or margarine
  • 9 (2 3/4-inch) frozen biscuits
  • 1/4 c whipping cream
  • 6 bacon slices, cooked & crumbled
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 c (4 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 medium-size sweet onion, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Bake biscuits according to package directions; set aside.
  • Step #2 Place butter & onion in a lightly greased 9-inch square pan.
  • Step #3 Bake at 425° for 7 to 8 mins.
  • Step #4 Whisk together eggs & next 3 ingredients.
  • Step #5 Pour into hot onion mixture; sprinkle with cheese & crumbled bacon.
  • Step #6 Bake for 12 mins or until set.
  • Step #7 Let stand 10 mins.
  • Step #8 Cut into 9 (3-inch) squares.
  • Step #9 Serve in biscuits.
  • Step #10 NOTE: Recipe may be doubled & baked in a 15X10 inch jellyroll pan.
  • Step #11 Deluxe Omelet Buscuits may be made ahead & frozen.
  • Step #12 To reheat, wrap individual frozen omelet biscuits in a paper towel, & microwave at Medium (50% power) 3 1/2 to 4 min.
  • Step #13 Or wrap in aluminum foil wrap, & bake this at 350' for 20 to 25 mins.
