Grapefruit Compote In Rosemary Syrup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 large grapefruit
  • 3 tbsps honey
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  •  Garnish: extra fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/2 c maraschino cherries with stems
  • 1/2 c water

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Boil 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat, & let cool completely.
  • Step #5 Remove & discard rosemary.
  • Step #6 Peel & section grapefruit over a serving bowl to catch juice.
  • Step #7 Add grapefruit to bowl.
  • Step #8 Pour rosemary syrup over fruit in bowl.
  • Step #9 Add cherries.
  • Step #10 Cover up & chill until ready to serve.
  • Step #11 Garnish, if desired.
