Drop Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c chilled butter or stick margerine, cut into small pieces
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 c fat-free milk
  •  Cooking spray

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 450º.
  • Step #2 Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring c; level with a knife.
  • Step #3 Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, & salt in a bowl; cut in butter with a pastry mixer or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Step #4 Add milk; stir just until moist.
  • Step #5 Spoon the batter into 12 muffin c coated with cooking spray.
  • Step #6 Bake at 450° for 12 mins or until golden.
  • Step #7 Remove biscuits from pan as soon as possible, & place on a wire rack.
