Country Style Ribs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps salt
  • 1/3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced & separated into rings
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can beef broth
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 c ketchup
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp celery salt
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3 whole allspice
  • 3 tbsps Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 lbs bone-in country-style pork ribs
  • 2 tbsps cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsps vegetable oil

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large resealable plastic bag, mix the flour, salt & pepper.
  • Step #2 Add ribs, a few pieces at a time, & shake to coat.
  • Step #3 In a large skillet, brown ribs in oil; transfer to a greased 13-in.
  • Step #4 x 9-in.
  • Step #5 x 2-in.
  • Step #6 baking dish.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with onion.
  • Step #8 Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over ribs.
  • Step #9 Cover & bake this at 350 degrees F for 1-1/4 hrs or until meat is tender.
  • Step #10 Remove ribs to a serving platter; keep warm.
  • Step #11 Strain liquid; skim fat.
  • Step #12 Serve sauce with ribs.
