Chicken-pecan Quiche Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c sliced pecans
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp dried dillweed
  • 1/2 c (2 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c chicken broth
  • 1/4 c mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 c finely sliced cooked chicken
  • 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 c vegetable oil
  • 3 drops of hot sauce
  • 1 c (4 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c minced fresh onion
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 c pecan halves

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl; stir well.
  • Step #2 Add oil; stir well.
  • Step #3 Firmly press mixture on bottom & up sides of a 9" deep-dish pieplate.
  • Step #4 Bake at 350° for 12 mins.
  • Step #5 Cool completely.
  • Step #6 Combine sour cream, broth, mayonnaise, & eggs; stir with a wire whisk until smooth.
  • Step #7 Stir in chicken & next 4 ingredients.
  • Step #8 Pour chicken mixture over prepared crust.
  • Step #9 Arrange pecan halves over chicken mixture.
  • Step #10 Bake at 350° for 55 mins or until set.
  • Step #11 Let stand 10 mins before serving.
  • Step #12 Note: You can substitute turkey or a 9-oz package of frozen sliced cooked chicken for the sliced cooked chicken.
