Buttermilk Pancakes With Bourbon-pear Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter or stick margarine, melted & cooled
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  •  Bourbon-Pear Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c low-fat buttermilk

Directions
  • Step #1 Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring c, & level with a knife.
  • Step #2 Combine the flour & the next 4 ingredients (flour through salt) In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #3 Combine the buttermilk, & egg, & add to the flour mixture, butter, stirring with a whisk until smooth.
  • Step #4 Spoon about 1/4 c batter onto a hot nonstick griddle or nonstick skillet.
  • Step #5 Turn pancakes when tops are covered with bubbles & edges look cooked.
  • Step #6 Serve with Bourbon-Pear Sauce.
