Quick Whipping Cream Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c self-rising flour
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine
  • 3/4 to 1 c whipping cream*

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut 1/2 c butter into flour with a pastry mixer or fork until crumbly.
  • Step #2 Add whipping cream, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Step #3 Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, & knead lightly 3 or 4 times.
  • Step #4 Roll or pat dough to 3/4-inch thickness.
  • Step #5 Cut with a 2-inch round cutter; place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  • Step #6 Bake at 400° for 13 to 15 mins.
  • Step #7 Brush biscuits with 1/4 c melted butter.
  • Step #8 * 3/4 c buttermilk & 1 tbsp granulated sugar, stirred together, may be substituted for whipping cream.
