Step #1 Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; slowly add sugar & 1/2 c brown sugar, beating well.
Step #2 Add egg substitute, beating well.
Step #3 Combine flour, & next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk, 1 tsp cinnamon, beginning & ending with flour mixture.
Step #4 Mix well after each addition.
Step #5 Spoon half of batter into a greased & floured 13- x 9-inch pan.
Step #6 Combine remaining 1/2 c brown sugar, nutmeg, & walnuts; sprinkle half of mixture over batter, remaining 1/2 tsp cinnamon, & top this with cranberries.
Step #7 Top with remaining batter, & sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture.
Step #8 Bake at 350° for 35 mins or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Step #9 Cut into squares, & serve coffee cake warm.
