Early-morning Granola Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 c sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 c sliced almonds
  • 1 c wheat germ
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 1 c raisins
  • 1/2 c sliced pecans
  • 1/2 c sliced dried apricots
  • 3 c uncooked regular oats
  • 1/4 c honey
  • 1/4 c maple syrup
  • 1/2 c sliced dried apples
  •  Yogurt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsps brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first 6 ingredients In a large-ish bowl; stirring well.
  • Step #2 Cook honey & next 3 ingredients In a large-ish saucepan over low heat/flame, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  • Step #3 Stir in oat mixture.
  • Step #4 Spread mixture in a lightly greased, aluminum foil wrap-lined 15- x 10-inch jelly-roll pan.
  • Step #5 Bake at 350° for 25 mins or until golden, stirring every 5 mins.
  • Step #6 Invert onto wax paper; let cool 30 mins.
  • Step #7 Stir in dried fruits.
  • Step #8 Serve with yogurt, if desired.
