Chili With Ground Pork Recipe

Ingredients
  • ground nutmeg to taste
  • 1 (28 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 (15 oz) can sweet peas
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can wax beans
  • dried marjoram to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb lean ground pork
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • 4 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz) can mushroom pieces
  • chili powder to taste

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the olive oil in a large, deep skillet over med-heat/flame, & cook the ground pork until evenly browned.
  • Step #2 Reserving the juices in the skillet, remove pork, & set aside.
  • Step #3 Stir the onions & garlic into the skillet, & cook in the pork juices over med-heat/flame until tender.
  • Step #4 Mix in the mushrooms, peas, green bell pepper, wax beans, & red bell pepper.
  • Step #5 Cook & stir until tender & heated through.
  • Step #6 Return the pork to the skillet.
  • Step #7 Mix in the tomato sauce.
  • Step #8 Spice up with chili powder, nutmeg, marjoram, & salt.
  • Step #9 Reduce heat, & let simmer about 45 mins to allow the flavors to mix.
