Ingredients
1/4 c all-purpose flour (about 1 oz)
3 Anjou pears, peeled & cut in half lengthwise
Pears:
Streusel:
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 c apple juice
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c sliced pecans, toasted
1 1/2 tbsps apple brandy
1 tbsp honey
1 1/2 tbsps butter, melted
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 375°.
Step #2 To prepare streusel, lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring c; level with a knife.
Step #3 Combine flour & next 6 ingredients (through allspice) in a bowl.
Step #4 Stir with a fork until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Step #5 Stir in pecans.
Step #6 To prepare pears, using a melon baller or spoon, scoop out core from each pear half.
Step #7 Spoon streusel evenly into pear halves.
Step #8 Place pear halves, cut sides up, in an 8-inch square baking dish.
Step #9 Pour apple juice & apple brandy into dish.
Step #10 Cover up dish with foil wrap.
Step #11 Bake at 375° for 30 mins.
Step #12 Uncover & bake an extra 5 mins.
Step #13 Serve pears warm.
Step #14 Drizzle evenly with cooking liquid.
