Breakfast Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground pork sausage*
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 c milk
  • 2 c (8 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 10 white sandwich bread slices, cubed (6 c)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook sausage in a skillet over med-heat/flame, stirring until it crumbles & is no longer pink; drain well.
  • Step #2 Place bread cubes in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish; sprinkle bread evenly with cheese, & top this with sausage.
  • Step #3 Whisk together eggs & remaining ingredients; pour evenly over sausage mixture.
  • Step #4 Cover up & chill casserole for 8 hrs.
  • Step #5 Let stand at about room temp 30 mins.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350° for 45 mins or until set.
  • Step #7 Let stand 5 mins before serving.
  • Step #8 *2 c cubed cooked ham may be substituted for sausage.
