Open-faced Apple-cheese Bagels Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 (3-oz) plain bagels, split & toasted (such as Lender's Big & Crusty)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 (3/4-oz) slices lean Canadian bacon, coarsely sliced
  •  Cooking spray
  • 2 tbsps sliced green onions
  • 1/4 c (1-oz) shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c tub-style light cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple, cut into 16 wedges

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Step #2 Place a nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Step #3 Add apple & sugar; sauté 3 mins.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat; set aside.
  • Step #5 Spread 1 tbsp cream cheese over each bagel half; top each with 4 apple wedges.
  • Step #6 Sprinkle top cheese & bacon evenly over apple.
  • Step #7 Bake at 425° for 8 mins.
  • Step #8 Remove from oven; sprinkle with green onions.
