Honey-baked Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 tsps butter
  • 2 tsps freshly ground pepper
  • 8 medium-size ripe tomatoes, cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 tbsp dried tarragon
  • 4 tsps honey
  • 2 white bread slices
  • 1 1/2 tsps salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Place ripe tomato slices in a single layer in a lightly greased aluminum foil wrap-lined 15- x 10-inch jellyroll pan.
  • Step #2 Drizzle with honey, spreading honey into hollows.
  • Step #3 Process bread in a food processor/blender or mixer until finely sliced.
  • Step #4 Stir together breadcrumbs & next 3 ingredients; sprinkle evenly over tomato slices.
  • Step #5 Dot with butter.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350° for 30 mins or until tomato skins begin to wrinkle.
  • Step #7 Broil 5 inches from heat 5 mins or until tops are golden.
  • Step #8 Serve warm.
