Baked Ham With Bourbon Glaze Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c orange juice
  • 2 tbsps Dijon mustard
  • 1 c honey
  • 1/2 c bourbon
  •  Garnish: fresh herb sprigs
  • 1 (6- to 8-lb) smoked ham half
  • 1/2 c molasses

Directions
  • Step #1 Microwave honey & molasses in a 1-quart microwave-safe dish at HIGH 1 min; whisk to mix.
  • Step #2 Whisk in bourbon, orange juice, & mustard.
  • Step #3 Remove skin & excess fat from ham, & place ham in a roasting pan.
  • Step #4 Bake at 325° on lower oven rack for 1 1/2 hrs or until a meat thermometer inserted into thickest portion registers 140°, basting every once in awhile with honey mixture.
  • Step #5 Bring drippings & remaining glaze to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • Step #6 Remove from heat, & serve this with sliced ham.
  • Step #7 Garnish, if desired.
