Drop Scones Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tsps white vinegar
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsps cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c sugar
  •  Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together milk & vinegar; set aside.
  • Step #2 Stir together butter & 1/2 c sugar In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #3 Combine flour & next 3 ingredients; stir in theto butter mixture alternately with milk mixture, beginning & ending with flour mixture, until dry ingredients are moistened.
  • Step #4 Drop by rounded 2 tbspfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet; sprinkle with extra sugar.
  • Step #5 Bake at 450° for 12 to 14 mins or until golden.
