Chocolate Peanut Butter Freezer Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsps butter, melted .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 12 Nutter Butter sandwich cookies, divided .
  • 2 oz semisweet chocolate, melted .
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened .
  • 12 oz whipped topping, thawed, divided .
  • 1/2 c creamy peanut butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Crush 8 cookies in a ziptop bag with a rolling pin.
  • Step #2 Mix cookie crumbs & butter & press onto the bottom of a foil wrap-lined 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Step #3 Mix the cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar & vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until well mixed.
  • Step #4 Gently fold in 3 c of whipped topping.
  • Step #5 Spoon 1/2 c of the cream cheese mixture into a small bowl.
  • Step #6 Stir in the melted chocolate until well mixed & set aside.
  • Step #7 Spoon half of the remaining cream cheese mixture over crust.
  • Step #8 Top evenly with chocolate mixture then cover with remaining cream cheese mixture.
  • Step #9 Freeze 4 hrs or overnight until firm.
  • Step #10 Invert onto a plate; remove foil wrap, then re-invert onto a serving platter so the crumb layer is on the bottom.
  • Step #11 Top with remaining whipped topping.
  • Step #12 Crush remaining cookies & sprinkle it over top.
