Napa Cabbage Coleslaw For Non-slaw Lovers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 head napa cabbage .
  • Dressing .
  • 1/3 c butter .
  • 1/4 c cider vinegar .
  • 1 (3 oz) package ramen noodles (uncooked, seasoning packet discarded) .
  • 2 tbsps soy sauce .
  • 1 c slivered almonds .
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil .
  • 1/2 c white sugar .
  • 2 tbsps sesame seeds .
  • Slaw .
  • 1 bunch minced green onions

Directions
  • Step #1 Finely shred the head of cabbage (do not chop).
  • Step #2 Combine the green onions & cabbage In a large-ish bowl; cover & put in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Step #3 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #4 Break up the Ramen noodles.
  • Step #5 Melt the butter in a pan over med-heat/flame; add the ramen noodles, almonds & sesame seeds & mix together until coated with the butter.
  • Step #6 Spoon the crunchies mixture onto a baking sheet & bake this at 350, turning often to avoid burning.
  • Step #7 Remove from oven when browned.
  • Step #8 Make dressing: In a small saucepan, oil, heat vinegar, sugar & soy sauce.
  • Step #9 Bring the mixture to a boil & let boil for 1 min, stirring constantly.
  • Step #10 Remove pan from heat & let cool.
  • Step #11 Immediately before serving, mix the dressing, crunchies & cabbage mixure & serve as soon as possible.
  • Step #12 Do not mix together ahead of time or the crunchies will get soggy.
