Giant Sea Snails Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (8 count) package put in the fridged breadstick dough (8 sticks) .
  • shortening or nonstick spray coating .
  • 3 tbsps sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon .
  • 1/4 c nuts, finely sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Stir together the nuts, sugar, & cinnamon.
  • Step #2 Remove 2 rolled-up breadsticks from the package.
  • Step #3 Place on waxed paper.
  • Step #4 Unroll 1 of the breadsticks.
  • Step #5 Cut a lengh of the dough for the bottom of the snail & press the longer end onto the end of the rolled-up breadstick.
  • Step #6 Wrap the unrolled breadstick around the rolled-up breadstick.
  • Step #7 Repeat with the remaining breadsticks.
  • Step #8 For the head, take the free end of the breadstick & roll it a little in the other direction.
  • Step #9 Affix a small rolled up piece of dough for antennae & remember to add a length of dough for the bottom of the snail.
  • Step #10 If you like, make smaller snails using 1 breadstick for each snail.
  • Step #11 Put the snail on a plate & Flatten the snail with your hand.
  • Step #12 Brush with sugar mixture.
  • Step #13 Place the snail, sugared side up, on a greased baking sheet.
  • Step #14 Repeat with the remaining snails, bake in a 375 degree oven about 15 mins or till golden.
  • Step #15 Serve warm or cool.
