Chocolate Chip Toll House Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c flour .
  • 3/4 tsp salt .
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature .
  • 1/2 c white sugar .
  • 1/2 c butter, softened (no subs!) .
  • 2 tsps vanilla .
  • 1 c sliced walnuts .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1 c lightly packed brown sugar .
  • 2 tsps baking soda .
  • 1 1/2 c chocolate chips .
  • 1/2 c skor English toffee bits .
  • 1/2 c Butter Flavor Crisco

Directions
  • Step #1 Set oven to 375°.
  • Step #2 Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper, or lightly grease with vegetable oil or butter (no non-stick vegetable sprays!).
  • Step #3 In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda & salt.
  • Step #4 In another bowl, Crisco shortening, using an electric mixer cream butter, both sugars & vanilla until fluffy (about 2 mins).
  • Step #5 Add in eggs & beat on medium speed until mixed (about 1 min).
  • Step #6 Add in the flour mixture, & beat until mixed (about 30 seconds).
  • Step #7 Add in chocolate chips, nuts & toffee bits; mix to mix.
  • Step #8 Drop the dough by tbsps (equivalent to about 3 tbsps).
  • Step #9 Bake the cookies centers are slightly puffed up (about 11-12 mins).
  • Step #10 Remove the cookies from the oven & allow this to cool on the baking sheet.
