Step #1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
Step #2 Mix flour, 1 tbsp sugar & baking powder together.
Step #3 Cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs; add 2 tbsps heavy cream & 1 egg.
Step #4 Press in bottom of 9-inch square pan or pie pan & arrange plums on top.
Step #5 Bake for 25-30 mins.
Step #6 While this is baking, sugar, egg & vanilla, in a bowl mix heavy cream, using a whisk to beat together well.
Step #7 Pour mixture over plums & bake an extra 20-30 mins, until custard is set.
Step #8 Serve warm or cool.
Step #9 Store in refrigerator.
