Crock Pot Coq Au Vin (chicken In White Wine) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1 1/4 lbs baby portabello mushrooms, sliced thick .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely sliced .
  • 1/3 c flour .
  • 1 bay leaf .
  • 1 c chicken broth .
  • 12 oz frozen white pearl onions .
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in half .
  • 1/2 c dry white wine (use a wine you'd enjoy drinking, we like Yellow Tail chardonnay) .
  • 1 tsp dried thyme leaves .
  • 2 tbsps butter, melted

Directions
  • Step #1 Place butter, pepper, thyme, onions, garlic, chicken, wine, salt, mushrooms, & bay leaf in crock pot.
  • Step #2 Combine chicken broth & flour; pour mixture into crock pot, & stir.
  • Step #3 Cover up & cook on LOW setting for 5-6 hrs.
  • Step #4 Remove & discard bay leaf.
  • Step #5 Serve over rice.
