Lasagna The Irish Way Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pinch dried oregano .
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese .
  • 1 pinch dried basil .
  • 1 egg, beaten .
  • 1 pinch dried thyme .
  • 3/4 c parmesan cheese .
  • 1 lb real irish minced beef .
  • 1 (8 oz) jar spaghetti sauce .
  • 1 pint ricotta cheese .
  • 12 lasagna sheets .
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)Gas Mark 5.
  • Step #2 In a medium skillet over med-heat/flame, cook the meat until brown.
  • Step #3 Once cooked, drain & leave to the side.
  • Step #4 Mix your ricotta, thyme, basil, egg, garlic & oregano & half of the mozzarell cheese.
  • Step #5 In a 9x13 baking dish with a little of the spaghetti sauce.
  • Step #6 Place three of the lasagne sheets over the sauce.
  • Step #7 Spread a layer of the cheese mixture & then a layer of the meat mixture over it & repeat until mixtures are all gone.
  • Step #8 Top the lasagne with the left over mozzerlla & parmesan cheese.
  • Step #9 cover with foil wrap & bake in a preheated oven for 30mins, remove foil wrap & bake for a futher 15 mins until the cheese browns & the lasagne appears bubbly.
