Step #1 Drain pineapple, reserving 3 tbsp juice.
Step #2 Set pineapple aside.
Step #3 Set juice aside for frosting.
Step #4 In a bowl, cream butter & sugar.
Step #5 Add egg, mix well.
Step #6 Add pineapple & vanilla, mix well.
Step #7 Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, & salt.
Step #8 Stir into creamed mixture.
Step #9 Drop by tsp 2" apart on greased cookie sheet.
Step #10 Bake at 325° for 17-20 mins.
Step #11 Remove & cool on wire racks.
Step #12 Frosting -- Combine powdered sugar with just enough reserved juice to get a smooth spread.
Step #13 Frost cookies when cool.
