Shrimp De Jonghe With A Twist Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 1/2 c breadcrumbs .
  • 1 dash cayenne .
  • 1 tbsp lemon peel, grated .
  • 1/2 c butter .
  • 1 1/2 lbs large shrimp .
  • 1/4 c dry sherry .
  • 1 tbsp shallots, minced .
  • 1/3 c sliced almonds .
  • 3 tbsps parsley

Directions
  • Step #1 Peel & devein shrimp.
  • Step #2 Blanch shrimp in boiling water for 1 min & drain.
  • Step #3 Rince with cool water, drain & dry.
  • Step #4 Set aside.
  • Step #5 In a bowl mix breadcrumbs & sherry.
  • Step #6 Let soak for about 10 mins.
  • Step #7 In another bowl mix butter, shallots, garlic, lemon zest, cayenne & parsley.
  • Step #8 Mix well.
  • Step #9 Combine breadcrumb mixture with butter mixture & stir until well mixd.
  • Step #10 Lay shrimp out, in single layer, in greased baking dish.
  • Step #11 Sprinkle top with salt & pepper.
  • Step #12 Sprinkle top breadcrumb mixture over top of shrimp.
  • Step #13 Top the dish with the almonds.
  • Step #14 Bake at 400F (in preheated oven) for 15mins.
