Cornish Hens With Rice Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 c sliced celery
2 (1 1/4 lb) Cornish hens
1/2 c uncooked long grain rice
pepper to taste
2 tbsps sliced onion
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 c sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 tsp salt, divided
1/2 tsp dried marjoram, divided
1 1/3 c chicken broth

Directions

Step #1 In an ungreased 9-in.
Step #2 square baking dish, rice, mix broth, mushrooms, celery, onion, 1/4 tsp marjoram & 1/4 tsp salt.
Step #3 Place hens on rice mixture & brush with oil.
Step #4 Sprinkle top with pepper & remaining marjoram & salt.
Step #5 Cover & bake this at 350 degrees F for 1 hr.
Step #6 Uncover & bake 25-35 mins longer or until juices run clear.
