Southwestern Black Bean Chili Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground chuck .
  • 1/2 c onions, sliced .
  • 1 (10 oz) can tomato soup .
  • crushed tortilla chips (optional) or chili cheese corn chips (optional) .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can black beans, undrained .
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz) package taco seasoning .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can corn, drained .
  • 1/2 c sour cream .
  • sour cream .
  • 1 tbsp jalapeno peppers, sliced .
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese .
  • 1 1/2 c water .
  • green onions

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large pot, add ground chuck & onions.
  • Step #2 Brown meat & drain.
  • Step #3 Add taco seasoning & stir.
  • Step #4 Reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Step #5 Add drained corn, tomato soup, undrained black beans, water, & jalapenos; stir.
  • Step #6 Cook until hot.
  • Step #7 Add 1/2 c sour cream & 4 oz.
  • Step #8 shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Step #9 Mix well.
  • Step #10 When cheese is melted, sour cream, pour this into individual bowls & garnish with extra cheese, green onions & tortilla chips or chili cheese corn chips if desired.
