Chocolate Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c brown sugar .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 4 c cooked white rice .
  • 1 c slivered almonds or your favourite nuts .
  • 3 tbsps unsalted butter, melted .
  • 1/4 c baking cocoa .
  • 2 (12 oz) cans evaporated milk, low fat is fine

Directions
  • Step #1 Lightly grease or spray with cooking spray the inside of a 31/2- to 6-quart crockpot.
  • Step #2 Combine all ingredients in the crockpot, cover the crockpot & cook on low for 21/2 to 3 hrs, or until all the liquid has been absorbed.
  • Step #3 Stir before serving.
  • Step #4 Serve either warm or chilled.
  • Step #5 To chill, allow the rice pudding to cool for about 2 hrs, then spoon it into a bowl, cover & put in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • Step #6 Serve with cream & a sprinkling of slivered almonds or nuts of your choice.
