My Meatloaf Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (2 oz) package onion soup mix .
  • 1 lb hamburger (ground chuck, groud sirloin, regular, whichever you like) .
  • 3 tbsps ketchup .
  • 1/4 c celery, sliced (optional) .
  • Topping .
  • 1 c breadcrumbs or stove top herb crumbs seasoned stuffing mix .
  • ketchup .
  • 1/4-1/3 c green bell peppers, sliced .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste .
  • 1/4-1/3 c yellow sweet onions, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix all ingredients together.
  • Step #2 (*you mix the 3 tbs of ketchup into mixture*).
  • Step #3 Put aluminum foil wrap on the bottom of the bottom of the casserole dish or oven pan, & grease it.
  • Step #4 Add meatloaf to pan, & spread thick layer of ketchup over top of meatloaf.
  • Step #5 Cover up with aluminum foil wrap & bake this at 375 degrees for 30-35 mins.
  • Step #6 Take aluminum foil wrap off the top of meatloaf & bake for an extra 15 mins to get the top baked.
  • Step #7 (*tip: I have always dipped my meatloaf bites into ketchup also*).
  • Step #8 (*I think heinz is the best, but hunt's is also good*).
