Grilled Cheese Deluxe Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 slices tomatoes .
  • yellow sweet onions, sliced (optional) .
  • 2 slices bread .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 3-4 tbsps mayonnaise (* I think JFG is the best, but whatever you like*) .
  • 2 slices American cheese .
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • crisp leaf lettuce (optional)

Directions
  • Step #1 Add butter to the outsides of the bread.
  • Step #2 Lay down one slice in stovetop pan, add the 2 slices of cheese, then lay down other slice of bread on top of cheese.
  • Step #3 Cook in the pan till it is a perfect grilled cheese -- about 7-9 mins.
  • Step #4 Put grilled cheese on plate & as soon as possible pull the two pieces of bread apart.
  • Step #5 Lay the tomato down on the cheesiest side.
  • Step #6 Add 3-4 tbs (big heaping spoons) of mayonnaise to other side & smooth out until you have a very thick layer of mayonnaise.
  • Step #7 You can now add the onion (*which is good but optional*).
  • Step #8 You can also add the lettuce (*optional; I have never added lettuce before, but I am sure it is good, but I would just add mayonnaise & tomato first [and onion if you want]*).
  • Step #9 I add a little salt & pepper to the tomatoes.
