Baked Bowtie Mushroom Ragout Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c breadcrumbs .
  • 3 tbsps all-purpose flour .
  • 1/3 c fresh chives, sliced .
  • 6 tbsps butter, divided .
  • 2 1/2 c milk .
  • 1 white onion, sliced .
  • 12 oz bow tie pasta or farfalle pasta .
  • 1 c parmesan cheese, grated .
  • 2 tbsps parsley, sliced .
  • 1 lb assorted mushrooms, sliced .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Directions
  • Step #1 Cook pasta as directed.
  • Step #2 Drain & set a side.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile In a large-ish skillet melt 2 tbsp butter.
  • Step #4 Add garlic, onion, & mushrooms.
  • Step #5 Saute until veggies are tender.
  • Step #6 Remove mixture into a bowl.
  • Step #7 In a sauce pan heat 4 tbsp butter.
  • Step #8 Add flour & stir until well mixd.
  • Step #9 Stir over low heat/flame until thickened about 4 mins.
  • Step #10 Add milk to flour mixture slowly, little at a time, stirring to incorporate into the sauce.
  • Step #11 Continue to heat & stir until sauce thickens.
  • Step #12 Remove from heat.
  • Step #13 Stir in Parmsean cheese, chives & parsley into sauce.
  • Step #14 Stir until well mixd.
  • Step #15 In bowl with pasta add mushrooms & sauce.
  • Step #16 Stir well until all is mixd.
  • Step #17 Pour mixture into greased baking dish.
  • Step #18 Top with breadcrumbs.
  • Step #19 Bake at 400F for 30mins.
  • Step #20 Remove & let set 10mins before serving.
