Step #3 In a large mixing bowl mix the syrup mixture & cereal together, starting with 8 c of cereal & adding the extra c if needed.
Step #4 Press mixture into a 9 x 13 inch pan.
Step #5 Melt chocolate chips together in a small saucepan on the stove or place the chips in a micro safe bowl, microwaving them on MED for about 2 mintues.
Step #6 Remove & stir until smooth.
Step #7 Spread the chocolate on top of squares.
Step #8 Let set at about room temp for a couple of hrs, cut into squares & store at room temp in an air tight container.
Step #9 If stored in the fridge they will become VERY hard.
