Tomato-garlic Prawns Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp chili powder .
  • 2 tbsps tomato paste .
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce .
  • 2 tbsps honey .
  • 3 tbsps oil, your preference (to saute prawns) .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 750 g prawns, shelled & deveined, tails on .
  • 2 tsps flour (for thickening) .
  • water .
  • Sauce .
  • 1 tsp minced garlic or garlic paste

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil in skillet until very hot but not smoking.
  • Step #2 Meanwhile, mix ingredients for sauce.
  • Step #3 Saute prawns in hot oil until they turn white/pink but are not completely cooked (approximately 3 mins).
  • Step #4 Turn heat down, add sauce, cover & let simmer for 2 more mins.
  • Step #5 Mix flour with a small amount of water, add to sauce & cook this until sauce has thickened (approximately 1 min).
  • Step #6 Serve with sides of your choice.
