Chocolate Truffles Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c heavy cream .
  • 1/4 c salted butter .
  • 1 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream or rum or Frangelico or Grand Marnier .
  • 1 lb semisweet chocolate, cut in small pieces .
  • 1/4 c granulated sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Bring cream & sugar to a scald.
  • Step #2 Stir in butter.
  • Step #3 Stir in chocolate.
  • Step #4 Stir in liquor.
  • Step #5 Refrigerate slightly, bring to about room temp, whip if desired to create a lighter truffle filling or leave as is for a chewy version.
  • Step #6 Pipe or scoop out into a 1 inch ball.
  • Step #7 Refrigerate for at least 1 hr, then serve.
  • Step #8 Options: Roll finished, put in the fridged chocolate truffles in melted coating chocolate, ground nuts of your choice or in cocoa powder.
