Step #1 Bring 2 quarts water & salt to a boil In a large-ish saucepan.
Step #2 Add beans; cook 4 mins or until crisp-tender.
Step #3 Drain & place this In a large-ish bowl filled with ice water.
Step #4 Combine red wine vinegar & remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Step #5 Bring to a boil; cook 1 min or until sugar disolves.
Step #6 Pour over beans; cover & marinate in the refrigerator at least 24 hrs OR place beans in pint jars; remove bay leaves; pour marinade into pint jars & seal.
Step #7 Process for 15 min in a boiling water bath.
