Step #1
Combine sugar, honey & water in a large saucepan.
Step #2 Bring to a rolling boil, then remove this from the heat & set aside to cool.
Step #3 In a medium bowl, candied fruit, stir this together the honey mixture with the chocolate chips, eggs, almonds, & orange juice.
Step #4 Sift together the flour, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, baking soda & baking powder; stir in theto the fruit & nut mixture.
Step #5 Tightly cover the bowl, & put in the fridge for 2 to 3 days to mix the flavors.
Step #6 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F (165 degrees C).
Step #7 Grease & flour a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.
Step #8 Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
Step #9 Bake for 35 to 40 mins in the preheated oven.
Step #10 Cool & frost with the orange frosting.
Step #11 To make the orange frosting, put the confectioners' sugar in a small bowl, & beat in the orange juice 1 tbsp at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Step #12 Spread over the cooled bars.
Step #13 Cut bars into diamond shapes, & place cinnamon candies on top then sprinkle with the green sugar.
