50 vanilla wafer cookies (to yield about 1 1/2 c crumbs)
Directions
Step #1 Preheat the oven to 350°.
Step #2 Place the cookies in the container of a food processor/blender; process them until they are finely ground.
Step #3 In a mixing bowl, butter, mix the crumbs, salt, & vanilla; stir until the crumbs are moistened.
Step #4 Press mixture evenly across the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan & all the way up the sides of the pan, packing it tightly with you fingertips so it is even & compacted.
Step #5 Bake 6-8 mins or until golden & crisp.
Step #6 Let cool completely before filling it.
Step #7 **May be wrapped in plastic wrap & frozen for up to 1 month.
