Step #1 In a mixing bowl, beat water & butter until butter is melted.
Step #2 Beat in egg & vanilla.
Step #3 Combine flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda & salt; add to the egg mixture.
Step #4 Beat for 2 mins.
Step #5 Pour into a greased 8-in.
Step #6 square baking pan.
Step #7 Bake at 350° for 25-30 mins or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Step #8 Cool on a wire rack.
Step #9 Dust with confectioners' sugar.
