Ingredients
  • 1 c water .
  • 1/3 c vinegar .
  • 2 tsps soya sauce .
  • 4 lbs spareribs .
  • 1 tsp chili powder .
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce .
  • 1 garlic clove .
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard .
  • 1/8 tsp ginger .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar .
  • 3 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 1 1/2 c tomato juice .
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 450°F.
  • Step #2 Cut ribs in 3 inch lengths, 3 ribs wide.
  • Step #3 Place on rack in shallow roaster.
  • Step #4 Roast 30-35 mins until brown on each side.
  • Step #5 Pour off fat.
  • Step #6 Combine remaining ingredients in small saucepan.
  • Step #7 Simmer 10 mins until thickened.
  • Step #8 Reduce oven heat to 350°F.
  • Step #9 Remove rack from roasting pan.
  • Step #10 Pour sauce over ribs & cover pan.
  • Step #11 Bake 1 1/2 hrs or until tender.
