Ingredients
  • 1 oz pickling spices .
  • 4 bay leaves .
  • 1 gallon cold water .
  • 1/3 oz whole allspice .
  • garlic .
  • 3-4 lbs beef brisket .
  • 1 1/3 lbs pickling salt .
  • 7 oz brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 With a sharp knife, remove most of the fat from the beef.
  • Step #2 Place in crock & cover with solution for 3 weeks.
  • Step #3 Store in a refrigerator (if possible).
  • Step #4 Boil carefully for 2 hrs in fresh water.
