Hot Buttered Crandazzle Recipe

Ingredients
  • 30 cranberries (fresh or dried) .
  • 10 cinnamon sticks .
  • 4 oz dark brown sugar .
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg, freshly grated .
  • 7 c cranberry juice .
  • 2 oz unsalted butter, softened .
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon .
  • 10 (1 1/2 oz) jiggers rum .
  • 1 pinch ground ginger .
  • 10 pieces orange rind

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix sugar, butter & spices together until creamy.
  • Step #2 Can be stored for up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator.
  • Step #3 For each serving: Put one heaping tbsp of butter mixture into clear heat-proo glass mug.
  • Step #4 Add cinnamon stick, orange peel, & cranberries to cranberry juice & bring just to a boil (you can place this in a chafing dish & allow guest to fix their own).
  • Step #5 Add 3/4 c cranberry along with some of the orange peel, a cinnamon stick, & cranberries, to each glass.
  • Step #6 Add a jigger of rum.
  • Step #7 Stir to mix.
