Hot Scarlet Wine Punch Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 whole cloves .
  • 1/3 c brown sugar (packed) .
  • 2 inches cinnamon sticks .
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle white zinfandel wine .
  • 4 c cranberry juice

Directions
  • Step #1 In a lrg saucepan, mix cranberry juice, brown sugar, cinnamon stick & cloves.
  • Step #2 Bring to a boil, reduce heat & simmer uncovered for 5 min Remove spices.
  • Step #3 Add white zinfandel; heat till just warm.
  • Step #4 Ladle into mugs or transfer to a warm, heatproof pitcher & pour this into mugs.
  • Step #5 NOTE: If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, sub 3 1/4 c white grape juice for the white zinfandel & omit the brown sugar.
