Step #1 Beat butter In a large-ish mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
Step #2 Add brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, & nutmeg; beat till mixd.
Step #3 Beat in egg & coffee.
Step #4 Beat in as much of the flour as you can.
Step #5 Stir in remaining flour with a wooden spoon.
Step #6 Stir in raisins & sliced pecans.
Step #7 Drop dough by rounded tbsps 2 inches apart on an ugreased cookie sheet.
Step #8 Bak in a 375 ove for 8 to 10 mins or till edges are lightly browned.
Step #9 Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
