Sloppy Joes - Vegetarian Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 c dry textured vegetable protein .
  • 1 pinch pepper .
  • salt .
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce .
  • 1-2 tbsp chili powder .
  • 1 large onion, sliced .
  • 2 medium green peppers, sliced .
  • 3 tbsps oil .
  • Add .
  • 1 tbsp sugar .
  • 1 tbsp mustard .
  • 2 1/2 c tomato sauce .
  • 1 1/2 c boiling water

Directions
  • Step #1 Saute the onion & green pepper in 3 Tbsp of oil until tender.
  • Step #2 Add all the other ingredients.
  • Step #3 Simmer together for 20 mins & serve hot over split hamburger buns.
