Ingredients
1 tsp salt
3/4 c shortening
2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 (3 oz) package fruit flavored gelatin mix
2 eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c white sugar
1/3 c white sugar for decoration
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 400F degrees F (200 degrees C).
Step #2 In a medium bowl, cream the shortening, sugar, & flavored gelatin.
Step #3 Stir in the eggs & vanilla.
Step #4 Sift together the flour, baking powder, & salt; stir in theto the creamed mixture.
Step #5 Roll cookies into 1 inch balls place them on an unprepared cookie sheet, & flatten with a cookie stamp dipped in sugar.
Step #6 If you don 't have a cookie stamp, flatten cookies with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.
Step #7 Bake for 6 to 8 mins , until set but not brown.
