Decadent Marble Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp vanilla .
  • 4 tbsps confectioners' sugar .
  • 1 1/2 c butter, softened .
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate, premium .
  • 6 large eggs, room temp .
  • 4 tbsps semisweet chocolate, grated .
  • 3 c all-purpose flour .
  • 3 c sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step #2 Grease a 10 inch tube pan & lightly dust with flour.
  • Step #3 Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler or in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of hot water.
  • Step #4 Set aside.
  • Step #5 With an electric mixer, cream the butter, cream cheese & vanilla until smooth.
  • Step #6 Add sugar beat until light & fluffy, approximately 5 mins.
  • Step #7 Add the eggs two at a time.
  • Step #8 Gradually incorporate the flour mixture on lowish speed.
  • Step #9 Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Step #10 Stir the chocolate into the remaining batter & then pour this into the plan.
  • Step #11 With a metal spatula or knife, swirl the two batters to create a marbled effect.
  • Step #12 Bake, 60-75 mins, or until cakes tests done.
  • Step #13 Cover up with foil wrap halfway through the baking.
  • Step #14 Let stand for 15 mins.
  • Step #15 Turn out the cake onto a wire rack to unmold.
  • Step #16 To serve, sift together grated chocolate & confectioners’ sugar.
  • Step #17 Dust on top of cake.
