Ravioli And Sausage Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (26 oz) jar marinara sauce .
  • 2 tbsps grated parmesan cheese .
  • 1 tbsp sliced fresh basil (or 1 t dried basil) .
  • 4 links Italian turkey sausage links .
  • 1 (7 oz) jar roasted red peppers, drained & coarsely sliced .
  • 1 (30 oz) package frozen large square cheese ravioli, thawed .
  • 1 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oven to 350 degrees; you'll need a shallow 2-quart baking dish.
  • Step #2 Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
  • Step #3 Add sausages & cook, breaking up chunks with a spoon, 5 mins or until no longer pink.
  • Step #4 Remove from heat; stir in the roasted red peppers & basil.
  • Step #5 Spread 1 c pasta sauce in baking dish.
  • Step #6 Top with a layer of 12 ravioli, the sausage mixture, then the mozzarella cheese.
  • Step #7 Top with 1 c sauce, remaining ravioli & remaining sauce.
  • Step #8 Cover up with nonstick foil wrap.
  • Step #9 Bake on a sheet of foil wrap (to catch any drips) 1 hr or until ravioli are tender when pierced.
  • Step #10 Uncover, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese & bake 5 mins until cheese is barely golden.
  • Step #11 Let stand 15 mins before serving.
