Mixed Greens With Berry Dressing And Toasted Walnuts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 dash fresh ground pepper .
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard .
  • 1/8 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 c finely sliced red onions .
  • Salad .
  • 1 tbsp water .
  • 1/4 c frozen unsweetened mixed berries (raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries) .
  • 1/2 c dried cherries or dried blueberries (or both mixed) .
  • 1/4 tsp sugar .
  • Dressing .
  • 8 c mixed salad greens .
  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed .
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar .
  • 1/4 c sliced walnuts, toasted .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions
  • Step #1 Place all dressing ingredients in mixer; mix until smooth.
  • Step #2 (Dressing can be made up to 4 days ahead.
  • Step #3 Cover up & put in the fridge.
  • Step #4 ).
  • Step #5 Just before serving, in large bowl, toss greens, dried cherries & berries, & onion.
  • Step #6 Add enough dressing to lightly coat greens; toss to coat well.
  • Step #7 Divide among salad plates; sprinkle with walnuts.
  • Step #8 Pass remaining dressing.
  • Step #9 To toast walnuts, spread on baking sheet; bake this at 375°F for 7 to 10 mins or until lightly browned.
  • Step #10 Cool.
